From voice note to done. Here's how.

Detoil is built around one insight: founders communicate, they don't administer. So we built a system that takes your natural communication — a message, a voice note, a forwarded email — and turns it into a completed, compliant operational output. Every time.

Month One: We learn your company.

Every Detoil engagement begins with a dedicated onboarding phase of up to four weeks. This is not a generic setup wizard. It's a structured process where we extract the institutional knowledge of your business:

  • Your company structure, shareholders, directors, and registered details
  • Existing contracts, templates, and legal documents
  • Your HR policies, leave structures, compensation philosophy
  • Your chart of accounts, accounting software, tax status
  • Your governance calendar — AGMs, board meetings, filing deadlines
  • Your communication preferences — tone, formality, approval thresholds
  • Your supplier and client relationships
  • Any recurring reports you produce

By the end of Month One, your Detoil instance knows your business almost as well as you do — and it's ready to operate.

You talk. Detoil acts.

Detoil lives where you already communicate. There's no new app to learn.

🎙️ Voice note: "Hey Detoil, we're taking on a new contractor, his name is Sipho Dlamini, he's starting Monday as a developer, R45k a month, three-month probation."

→ Detoil drafts a fixed-term contractor agreement, a tax directive request, and a Day 1 onboarding checklist. Returns for your approval within minutes.

💬 Message: "Detoil, I need the board pack for Thursday's meeting."

→ Detoil pulls your management accounts, the previous meeting's minutes, outstanding resolutions, and a CEO update template pre-populated with your recent activity. Returns a branded PDF for your review.

📄 Forwarded email: "Here's the invoice from the new supplier."

→ Detoil extracts the details, checks against your supplier list, flags any anomalies, and creates a payment approval request. Awaits your sign-off.

Nothing happens without your say-so.

Detoil is powerful, but it never acts unilaterally. Every output — every contract, every payment instruction, every submission — is returned to you for review and explicit approval before it is actioned.

This is not a limitation. It's a design principle.

You are the CEO. Detoil is your most capable operator. But you sign off on everything. Always.

1. Summary

Detoil returns a clean summary of what it has prepared

2. Draft

You receive a document or draft with tracked changes or highlights

3. Approve

You approve, reject, or request changes — in a single message

4. Logged

Detoil logs every decision for your compliance record

Detoil workflow interface

Detoil gets better the longer you use it.

Most software is static. Detoil is not.

Every interaction — every approval, every correction, every preference you express — is fed back into your private Detoil instance. Over time, the system builds a richer model of how your company operates and what you expect.

After six months, Detoil's first drafts are almost always right. After a year, it's anticipating things you haven't asked for yet.

Auto-include clauses

Detoil notices you always add a confidentiality clause → it starts including it automatically

Proactive scheduling

Detoil sees that board packs go out two days before the meeting → it starts preparing them proactively

Risk flagging

Detoil learns your payroll always runs on the 25th → it flags if anything will delay it

Your Detoil instance is yours. Its learning stays within your company. It is never shared with or used to train other companies' instances or any external model.

What does one hour actually look like?

Our design target for every Detoil client is a structured one-hour weekly engagement. Here's what that typically covers:

The Monday Morning Review (45 minutes)

  • — Review and approve the week's prepared outputs (contracts, reports, submissions)
  • — Review Detoil's proactive flags and recommendations
  • — Scan your governance calendar for the week ahead
  • — Approve or amend any drafts prepared from last week's activity

Ad-hoc messages during the week (15 minutes total)

  • — Respond to Detoil's clarification requests
  • — Initiate new tasks via voice note or message
  • — Approve time-sensitive items as they arise

That's it. For most clients, this is achievable within six months of onboarding. Some get there faster.
